In brief Ethereum developer Mikhail Kalinin has published a new proposal titled “Executable beacon chain.” It describes a system where Ethereum 1.0 data is embedded into Ethereum 2.0’s Beacon Chain. This should remove “unnecessary complexity to the consensus layer” during the transition to ETH 2.0.
